Preparation Instructions
To make Green's Gingerbread Man Cookies you will need:
- 1 pack Green's Gingerbread Man Cookie Kit
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon (20mL) water
- 3 tablespoons (60g) polyunsaturated margarine
- 2 baking trays
PLUS for the icing...
- 1 tablespoon (20mL) water
To Start
- PREHEAT over to 180°C/350°F (160°C fan forced) and lightly grease two baking trays.
- PLACE cookie mix, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon (20mL) water and 3 tablespoons (60g) polyunsaturated margarine in a mixing bowl, stir with a wooden spoon until combined, then mix with hands to create a smooth dough. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- ROLL dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of 8-10mm. Using the gingerbread man cutter, cut out shapes and place on baking trays.
- BAKE for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and stand for 2 minutes prior to transferring to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely before icing.
To prepare icing
- PLACE content of icing sachet in a small bowl with 1 tablespoon (20mL) of water.
- MIX until combined, then for a further two minutes until smooth icing is formed.
- SPREAD or pipe icing on top of Gingerbread man and decorate with choc chips to form face and buttons.

Gingerbread Christmas Tree Decorations
- Prepare cookie dough as directed on pack.
- Using Gingerbread Man cutter as well as star and Christmas tree shaped cutters to cut out dough. Use a chopstick or pencil to make a hole at the top of each piece of dough for the string and bake as directed on pack.
- Once cookies have cooled, prepare icing as directed on pack and decorate the cookies.
- Cut lengths of thin ribbon or string and thread them through the hole in each cookie.
- Hang cookies on the Christmas tree.
